Spinning Profile: Out and Back
I have several profiles to get caught up on posting. I’ve been having touble with iTunes iMixes, which I blame for the delay. I can’t figure out how to build a mix from their store without purchasing the song for my library, which I don’t need to do, because I already have these songs! If anyone knows how to get around this little issue, please shoot me a comment or an email (powergirl [[att]] groupfitpower [daut] com). Thanks! And on with the show….
This is an out and back that models riding out to the beach, playing in the water for a bit, then riding home. I showed IMAX: Coral Reef on our projector screens while we were riding to add to the fun! I also erred on the side of variety when choosing music, because I have an amazingly disparate group of riders in my new Wednesday 6:30 time slot. A little something for everyone, especially the gents this time.

Getting Back on the Horse – A Diva Instructor Starts Over at Zero
After six months away from my classes, I finally made my re-debut at the gym. I subbed a Pilates class, which was the perfect format for me to get back into the groove of teaching. I was nervous to teach again, and I found myself facing many of the same doubts and fears I felt the first time I ever set foot in front of the group fitness room. Even though it was a little bit intimidating to be back at the front of the room, I managed to conquer the fear and just teach the class. It ended up going really well, and I learned three valuable lessons last night that I’d like to share with you…

A little something about me…
I try not to post too much personal information on this blog, because I know that’s not what you’re here for! However, I wanted, first, to say thanks for continuing to visit and share your comments and for patiently waiting for me to return to the classroom. All of my rest time has been essential to keeping my pregnancy safe and healthy. While I miss teaching something awful, I know that sometimes you just have to step away and do what’s best for your body. Dang doesn’t it hurt the pride to admit that you just can’t do it all? But never fear. The little man is due just any minute now, and once the holidays are through, I’ll be back providing you with all the information I can to take advantage of your January resolution rush and keep em coming through the year!
Thanks to all of you who have sent well-wishes and inquiries! I am huge, doing great, and very ready to have this baby boy! You’ll get an update once he comes, because I am a shameless mom.
Happy Halloween!

Welcome!
Welcome to the new home of GroupFitPower — your total source for info, advice, spinning profiles and choreography to take some of the headache out of preparing for your group fitness classes! We’re still in transition from the WordPress hosted site, so bear with us as we complete the migration. You’ll want to update your RSS feeds and reset your bookmarks, as all posts with wordpress in their urls will be taken down in the future.
We are so glad you are here! If you have any thoughts, questions, or comments about the new design or site in general, please leave your comments below!

What’s going on?
My dear readers,
Before I get back to sharing the goodies with you, I feel the need to offer a little bit of personal information. As this blog has never been so much about ME and what’s going on in my life as it has been about conveying pertinent information about experiences I’ve had to you, I have had little reason to provide explanantions about where I’ve been or what I am up to. However, given my current circumstances, and how they are affecting my ability to focus on this blog, I think I ought to say a little something just to keep you “in the know.”
I recently learned (right around birthday time — what a gift) that I am going to be having my second child. My husband and I are overjoyed, but, as you moms can attest and others can imagine, my energy level has dipped way down. I find myself conserving at work and home as much as possible so that I can give when it really counts — in class, with my family, and when work pressure demands it. The other phenomenon I am experiencing is what I call “Heavy Brain.” My thoughts are very cloudy and thinking seems laborious to me. To that end, this blog, being somewhere at mid-level in my priority list, will from time to time go unattended. I have to keep myself balanced, and I hope you will understand.
I look forward to getting to Trimester 2 when the energy returns and I will most certainly be posting whatever pre-natal experience might be useful to you as instructors who have not had the fun of bearing children. Check back from time to time and keep me in your prayers! Also, for those of you who have provided your comments and emailed me your thoughts, I thank you. It is very helpful and encouraging to know what has been working for you! I hope you will keep sharing.
Sincerely,
Krista
